Hope for African Development Organisations delivered the first free hearing camp in Chad the team comprised of 3 audiologists, an ENT consultant and the manager of the project (Ikhlass Mohamed). We began to work from the 19th of June to the 26th of June 2021 working from 9 am to 1:30 pm. Our team managed to cover every thing free of charge and our target demographic was those who couldn’t afford to go to another country to get checked out and get hearing aids we met different people with different experiences some cried and some smiled from the joy which was a very emotional scene. There is no hearing centre situated in Chad and we only had 400 hearing aids however there were thousands of people who needed the same service. I will do my best to help the people who haven’t been privileged to receivethe opportunity of free care. Me and my organisation believe it is a human right to live a normal life and continue their education and we are the first organisation worldwide to work in this field (hearing impairment) in Chad and will continue to do so.
